KARACHI: A fire broke out in a gas pipeline during construction work at a private housing society in Korangi Crossing, continues to remain uncontrollable despite the passage of over five hours.
Ten fire tenders are actively engaged in firefighting, while additional fire brigades have been called from across the city, but the blaze near Korangi Crossing has not been extinguished even after eight hours.
According to Fire Brigade officials, the fire is classified as a third-degree blaze. Due to its intensity, foam is being used to control the flames.
Fire Officer Muhammad Zafar described the fire as mysterious, stating that it is unclear which pipeline is affected. He noted that when water is sprayed, it disperses into the air, making firefighting difficult.
