PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly has unanimously passed a resolution recommending to issue lifetime blue passports to the members of the provincial assembly (MPAs) and their families, similar to the privileges granted to members of the National Assembly (MNAs) and federal secretaries.
During the assembly session on Thursday, PPP MPA Ahmed Khan Kundi presented the resolution, urging the provincial government to recommend to the federal government that lifetime blue passports be issued to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa MPAs and their families, following the same procedure as for MNAs and federal secretaries.
Kundi further noted that he had previously submitted resolutions on this issue. Currently, he said, blue passports are only issued to MPAs for five years. “Therefore, we demand that the federal government issue lifetime blue passports to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa MPAs and their families,” he added.
