KP chief minister reshuffles cabinet, sacks Bushra Bibi’s close aide

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has reshuffled his cabinet, sacking Provincial Adviser for Social Welfare Mashal Azam Yousafzai, a close associate of Bushra Bibi, and reassigning the portfolio of Provincial Health Minister Qasim Ali Shah.
On Tuesday, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa administration department issued a notification regarding these changes.
According to the notification, based on the summary sent by the chief minister, the Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has approved the removal of Mashal Azam Yousafzai from the provincial cabinet.

She has officially been notified of her dismissal and barred from serving as a provincial adviser.
Additionally, at the chief minister’s request, the KP governor has reassigned the portfolio of Health Minister Qasim Ali Shah, and he has been appointed as the Provincial Minister for the Social Welfare Department.
Sources said that Chief Minister Gandapur is expected to further reshuffle the provincial cabinet in the coming days, with new advisers and special assistants likely to be appointed.
Within PTI circles, it is believed that Mashal Azam Yousafzai was inducted into the cabinet at the behest of Bushra Bibi, the wife of PTI’s founder.
