Additionally, he said that fair-price pharmacies should be established in hospitals, complete data on required medical staff and equipment should be collected, a new health policy should be prepared within a month, and separate spaces should be designated for attendants and sleeping areas in hospitals.
During the meeting, a decision was taken to establish a motorbike response unit for thickly populated areas, declare Hayatabad as a healthcare city, set up health information and service delivery units for hospitals’ improvement, and initiate an executive health check-up program for senior citizens in hospitals.
The health care city aims to provide modern facilities for treatment. Citizens aged 65 and above will receive free check-ups every three months.
For this purpose, separate desks and staff will be allocated in government hospitals where free check-ups will include lab tests, skin examinations, MRI, X-rays, echocardiograms, and ECGs.
