Lahore airspace closed as India attacks Pakistan

LAHORE: Lahore’s airspace has been closed and flight operations in Lahore Airport have been suspended as India attacked Pakistan in early hours of Wednesday, according to the aviation sources.
Passengers have been sent back from the airport as authorities respond to the escalating situation following recent Indian military actions.

Hospitals on high alert
Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Imran Nazir has ordered all hospitals in the region to remain on high alert.
He directed Medical Superintends (MSs) and Chief Operating Officers (Cos) to prepare for any emergency situations that may arise.
The minister stated that quick response teams to be ready to address potential crises.
“We stand by the side of the Pakistani Army”, Khawaja Imran Nazir said condemning India’s actions as a “cowardly act in the dark of the night”.
He added that no amount of condemnation is sufficient in response to the aggression, saying that the “entire nation is standing with its forces at this time”.

The closure comes as Indian military attacked several locations in Azad Kashmir, raising concerns about further escalation between the two nuclear armed states.
