Lahore authorities crack down on wrong parking, seal 23 properties


LDA seals properties for parking rules violations

LAHORE: Authorities in Lahore are intensifying their efforts to combat issues of wrong parking, which cause traffic jams and trouble for commuters and passing traffic.

Under the supervision of the Director of Enforcement from the Traffic Engineering & Transport Planning Agency (TEPA), joint teams consisting of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA), TEPA Enforcement Wing, and the Directorate of Private Housing Schemes conducted a significant operation targeting violations of parking regulations on Friday.

In response to directives from Lahore Development Authority Director General Tahir Farooq, the joint teams took action along MM Alam Road, Mahmood Kasuri Road, and Ghalib Road in Gulberg.

A total of 23 properties were sealed, and heavy fines were imposed for breaching parking regulations. The affected properties included a variety of establishments such as plazas, stores, a burger shop, a restaurant, a coffee shop, offices, salons, and well-known clothing brands.
