Lahore police promoted over 4,000 officials last year, confirms CCPO

LAHORE: The Lahore Police, under the leadership of Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Bilal Siddique Kamyana, has showcased praiseworthy achievements in various domains during the one-year tenure of the caretaker provincial government.
CCPO Kamyana highlighted these accomplishments in a recent statement. One of the notable achievements emphasised by Kamyana is the record promotions within the Lahore Police over the past year.
A total of over 4,000 officers and personnel have been promoted through 36 promotion boards, reflecting a commitment to the professional growth of the police force.
Under the Shuhda Package, Lahore Police has extended support to the families of 13 martyrs by providing houses worth Rs14.85 crore.
Moreover, an amount of Rs6 crore, 86 lakh, and 68 thousand has been distributed to 1,263 families to facilitate the education of the children of police officers.
Efficiently addressing pending road certificates and under-investigation cases, Lahore Police has demonstrated its commitment to ensuring justice.
The swift actions taken through Helpline 15 have played a pivotal role in reducing the crime rate in the provincial capital.
Implementing smart policing initiatives, Lahore Police has established international-standard Special Initiative Police Stations (SIPS).
These stations provide 14 different facilities under one roof 24/7 through 16 service centres, contributing to enhanced public service.
CCPO Kamyana highlighted the success of Lahore Police in combating crime, with the arrest of 3,304 gangs and the recovery of more than Rs2 billion and 96 million.
The value of vehicles recovered through AVLS operations stands at Rs1 billion, 87 crore, 53 lakh, and 65 thousand.
In anti-narcotics operations, Lahore Police have arrested 11,111 suspects and seized a substantial amount of drugs and alcohol.
Additionally, the apprehension of 25,529 declared offenders, 19,187 target offenders, and 49,106 judicial fugitives underscores the commitment of Lahore Police to maintaining law and order.
