Lahore: Two alleged bandits killed in police encounter


An alleged police encounter in the Nawan Kot area led to the deaths of two suspected bandits. According to police reports, five people on a motorcycle opened fire on officers instead of stopping when signaled.

LAHORE: An alleged police encounter in the Nawan Kot area led to the deaths of two suspected bandits in Lahore on Wednesday.

During the confrontation, the two deceased suspects were reportedly injured by gunfire from their own accomplices. Despite being rushed to the hospital, the injured bandits succumbed to their injuries en route.

The suspects were reportedly involved in a series of criminal activities. Earlier, they had fatally shot a security guard at a pharmacy in Stokatla. They had also purportedly injured two guards at pharmacy shops in the Nawan Kot area.

The police stated they are investigating the incident and the suspects’ alleged criminal activities.
