LDA City allottees to get plot possession today after 11-year wait

LAHORE: In a significant development, hundreds of allottees in Lahore Development Authority (LDA) City are poised to finally receive possession of their plots today (December 30), putting an end to an enduring wait of over 11 years.
The crucial decision to grant physical possession to the beneficiaries of LDA City was reached during a high-level meeting chaired by Commissioner Lahore and LDA DG Muhammad Ali Randhawa on Thursday.
During the comprehensive briefing provided in the meeting, it was disclosed that all necessary arrangements have been concluded for the allocation of plots in LDA City’s Jinnah Sector C Block.
This initial phase will witness the distribution of possessions to more than 1,500 allottees of C Block, encompassing plots ranging from 5 to 10 marlas as well as one and two kanals.
Notably, C Block spans 1,200 kanals and boasts amenities such as parks, a sports complex, a cricket stadium, and other facilities.

According to The News, the completion of the Chenab Road Bridge structure has been achieved, with finishing work currently underway.
Simultaneously, rapid progress is being made on the facilitation centre, and an award is set to be issued for the acquisition of the remaining land in Jinnah Sector.
Commissioner Lahore, highlighting the resolution of a longstanding issue, stated that, in accordance with the instructions of the caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab, the concerns of LDA City allottees have been successfully addressed.
The meeting, attended by Additional DG Headquarters, Director LDA City, and Project Director, reflects a concerted effort to bring relief to the allottees after years of anticipation.
