LDA demolishes illegal structures in Gulberg and Faisal Town

LAHORE: Following directives from Tahir Farooq, Director General of Lahore Development Authority (LDA), teams from the authority launched operations against unlawful constructions and individuals engaged in land encroachment.

In a recent incident, staff from LDA’s Private Housing Directorate successfully thwarted an attempt to encroach upon a designated park site within a private housing scheme.

Moreover, LDA personnel, during a targeted operation within another private housing scheme, reclaimed and cleared two kanals of land.

In a separate effort, teams from LDA’s Town Planning Wing carried out demolition and sealing operations across various areas in Lahore, including Gulberg, Faisal Town, Peco Road, and Model Town Extension.

Notably, these teams demolished multiple illegal constructions and sealed several sites.

Among the actions taken, illegal shops at Plot No 75 C2 in Liberty Market, Gulberg 3, were razed.

Additionally, unauthorised alterations were dismantled in Gulberg 3 Block R, Plot No. 22 Block K, and Plot No. 23 Block C One.

In Faisal Town C Block, illegal construction on Plot No 750 and 25 was demolished. Lastly, in Model Town Extension, Plot No 461 Block Q was sealed, while Plot No 196 Block S underwent demolition.
