LDA introduces online system for approving residential building plans

LDA online building approval system

LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has unveiled a new online system for the submission and approval of residential building plans.

This initiative, aimed at streamlining processes, is now operational through the LDA Citizen Facilitation Centre (One Window Cell), which is accepting plans electronically.

The LDA E-Khidmat Centre has already received 12 online submissions from private housing schemes, with corresponding challans issued for these plans.

The entire approval process will be handled digitally, marking a significant shift towards efficiency.

LDA Director General Tahir Farooq recently reviewed the new system at the E-Khidmat Centre. During his visit, he was briefed by Chief Town Planner II Azhar Ali and Chief Town Planner I Asad Uz Zaman.

Farooq highlighted the ongoing reforms at the LDA Citizen Facilitation Centre, emphasising the goal of reducing the approval time for residential building plans.

He stressed that the LDA is committed to promoting online submissions and approvals, with the intention of phasing out the traditional physical submission system in the near future.
