ISLAMABAD: Rising actress and TikToker Samiya Hijab has broken her silence over her allegedly obscene videos circulating online, claiming that the leaked videos are fake and were leaked by her former boyfriend.
Following the viral spread of her alleged leaked videos, Samiya Hijab began trending on platforms like Google and social media.
While some users claimed the videos were real and had been leaked, Samiya Hijab has strongly denied these assertions, labelling them false and AI-generated.
In a video posted to Instagram, Samiya addressed the viral video, claiming that the girl seen in the leaked videos is not her and the videos are fabricated using artificial intelligence.
“I didn’t want to talk about this issue, but seeing my fans so concerned, I felt the need to clarify that the videos being circulated are fake,” she said.
According to Samiya, many people messaged her, expressing doubts about the authenticity of the videos and suggesting that they seemed AI-generated.
“The girl in the video doesn’t look like me at all,” she insisted.
Samiya also alleged that her ex-boyfriend was behind the leaked vidoes.
She played an audio clip while giving the video statement about her leaked videos, in which a man can be heard demanding money from her.
She claimed the man was her former partner who was attempting to extort her, and that she has also spoken to his family about the issue.
She reiterated that the ‘leaked videos’ being shared are not hers, calling them part of a malicious campaign aimed at defaming her.
Over the past year, the leaked videos of a number of TikTokers, social media influencers, politicians, and actresses have raised serious concerns about individuals’ online privacy.
These disturbing incidents, which can have devastating consequences for the victims, underline the gravity of the issue.

However, authorities appear to have turned a blind eye to the situation, as no significant action has been taken to hold the perpetrators accountable.
The law has only intervened in a handful of high-profile cases, including those involving PML-N leader Uzma Bukhari and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
