SYDNEY: Legendary cricketer and former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram was reportedly harassed by a cricket fan during the test match series between India and Australia at Perth.
Daily Mail reported that Wasim Akram was harassed by a fan despite that he signed an autograph for him earlier in the day. The fan approached Akram as he was leaving the venue, after performing his broadcasting duties for Star Sports, to get a cab and hurled abusive remarks at him.
The argument left the latter fuming and the fan was immediately removed by security, although the report could not confirm whether he was intoxicated or not.

The report, however, revealed that none of the abuse aimed at Akram was racist. Cricket Australia has b assured the veteran cricketer that security would be tightened for the rest of the days of the opening Test match in Perth.
In fact, Cricket Australia said that security will be around the commentators during the live shows on the field.
The commentators have also been given a choice to be received by cars inside the venue.
