LHC judges also receive threatening letters

LAHORE: A day after a similar incident in Islamabad, three judges of the Lahore High Court received suspicious letters from an unidentified source.

The letters were delivered for Justice Shujaat Ali, Justice Shahid Bilal and Justice Alia Neelum.

These judges are also members of the administrative committee.

Following the letter, security arrangements were beefed up around the LHC and a team of the Counter Terrorism Department immediately reached the building.

The security agencies team has taken the letters in their custody and sealed them.

Yesterday, eight judges of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) reportedly received suspicious letters with a mysterious powder inside, raising security alarms within the judicial community.

The nature of the powder remains unknown, prompting immediate intervention from law enforcement authorities.
