PM Shehbaz demands immediate end to Gaza massacre

NEW YORK: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday demanded an end to Israel’s “systematic slaughter” and “bloodshed” in Gaza.

PM Shehbaz, while addressing the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, also condemned Israel’s atrocities in Palestine.

The premier questioned whether the world can afford to remain silent while children are buried beneath the rubble of their destroyed homes. He asked if we can truly turn a blind eye to the mothers holding the lifeless bodies of their children.

Kashmir dispute

Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif on Friday said that India has illegally occupied the land of Kashmiris.

The Prime Minister remarked that on August 5, 2019, India revoked the special status of occupied Kashmir and is actively settling outsiders in the region adding that India aims to convert the Muslim majority in occupied Kashmir into a minority.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif asserted that Pakistan will respond decisively to any Indian aggression.

“Instead of moving towards peace, India has resiled, from its commitments to implement the Security Council resolutions on the Kashmir dispute,” he added.

Climate Change:

He also addressed the challenges Pakistan faces as a result of climate change.
