M-1, M-2 opened after fog clears

WEB DESK: Motorway M-1, from Islamabad to Peshawar and Motorway M-2 from Islamabad to Lahore have been opened for all types of traffic after reduction in the intensity of fog, National Highways and Motorway Police statement said.

The motorways were closed down at night to prevent accidents and protect the life and property of the users of the motorway, Motorway Police Spokesperson said. The spokesperson also said that citizens are requested to avoid unnecessary travel during foggy hours.

“Complete your journey in daylight and reach your destination before the onset of fog,” he said, adding, “Use fog lights in vehicles, avoid speeding, and keep proper distance from the next vehicle more than usual.”
