LAHORE: Travellers are encountering significant challenges as dense fog disrupts road travel across Punjab, rendering city-to-city journeys nearly impossible.
The recent intensification of fog has led to the closure of several major motorways, causing widespread inconvenience for commuters.
The Lahore-Islamabad M2 Motorway has been temporarily closed for traffic in response to the thick fog, according to Motorway Police.
Similarly, the Motorway M3 phase has been shut down from the Interchange to Darkhana, affecting the travel route for commuters.
The Multan-Faisalabad stretch of the motorway is also closed due to reduced visibility caused by the fog. Additionally, the M5 Motorway from Multan to Rahim Yar Khan is off-limits, with Motorway Police urging caution to drivers.
Not only are major motorways affected, but several areas in Lahore are currently blanketed in fog, creating hazardous conditions for residents.
