ISLAMABAD: A Pakistan Army major and a havaldar were martyred during an operation targeting terrorists, who were reportedly planning attacks against civilians in Balochistan’s Harnai district. Three terrorists were also killed during the encounter.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation took place on November 14 on a tip-off suggesting a plot to target innocent civilians in the area. In response, security forces swiftly deployed under the command of Major Muhammad Haseeb to clear the region.
The ISPR said that security forces effectively struck the militants’ hideout, leading to the killing of three terrorists. During the operation, an improvised explosive device (IED) detonated under the main vehicle of the security convoy.
