- Deterioration of newly constructed IHC structure raises concerns
ISLAMABAD: The recently completed Islamabad High Court (IHC) complex, erected at a considerable expense within the federal capital’s red zone, has entered a state of disrepair, casting doubt on the construction’s integrity, said a news report by Express Tribune on Friday.
Reports indicate that tiles along the exit path from the administrative block unexpectedly dislodged. Fortunately, no individuals were present during the incident.
This occurrence follows a previous incident where a section of the IHC’s wall collapsed, prompting queries about the building’s overall quality.
Stock market continues positive momentum amidst fluctuations
In addition to malfunctioning elevators, the latest IHC establishment faces a myriad of challenges, including an inefficient cooling system and inadequate parking facilities for both litigants and legal practitioners.
Furthermore, essential systems like firefighting, IT infrastructure, lightning protection, and security are yet to be implemented.
A convened full court meeting expressed dissatisfaction with the identified serious flaws in the construction.
