Major reshuffling announced in Punjab bureaucracy

LAHORE: Major reshuffling has been announced in Punjab Bureaucracy with notices of large-scale appointments and transfers issued on Saturday.

Planning and Development Board Chairman Nabeel Awan has been directed to report to the Services Department, while the Energy Department Secretary Dr Naeem Rauf has been appointed as the new chairman of the Planning and Development Board.

At the same time, Planning and Development Board Secretary Dr Asif Tufail has been appointed as Sahiwal Commissioner. I&C Services Department Secretary Rafaqat Ali has been appointed as Planning and Development Board Secretary. Finance Department Special Secretary Muhammad Masood Noman has been appointed as Secretary I&C Services Department.

Tourism Department Secretary Farid Ahmed Tarar has been appointed as the Human Rights Department Secretary, and he has been replaced by the Environment Protection Department Secretary Jahangir Anwar.

Archive and Libraries Wing Services Department Secretary Silwat Saeed has been appointed as the Environment Protection Department Secretary, while Higher Education Department Secretary Dr Farrukh Naveed will now be Energy Department Secretary.

Officer on Special Duty (OSD) Ghulam Farid has been appointed as Higher Education Department Secretary. Commissioner Sahiwal Shoaib Iqbal has been directed to report to Services Department regarding courses.
