Man arrested for raping minor girl

KASHMORE: Police have arrested a man who continued raping a 9-year-old girl for six months and impregnating her.

Nine-year-old Momal’s father told police that accused Pleao Machi had been raping his young daughter for the last six months.

The victim girl said when she got pregnant as a result of repeated sexual assaults by the accused, the latter hurled threats at her saying he would kill her entire family if she dared breathe a word to anyone.

The brother of the accused even came up to me and gave me Rs3,000 to abort the fetus, said the girl.

Police registered a case on the complaint of the victim’s family.

The family also held a protest outside the police station demanding justice.

Kashmore SSP Rohail Koso said that police had arrested the accused and assured the family of providing them with justice.
