Man from Punjab kills mother over breakfast delay

WEB DESK: A man hailing from Mararian village in Gujarat allegedly killed his mother on Monday by hitting her with an iron rod, for taking some time to serve him breakfast.

According to police, Usman Nawaz resident of the village in Industrial Estate-2 police precincts had asked his mother Razia Bibi, who was fasting, to prepare breakfast for him. Upon finding out that his mother would serve the breakfast after resting for a bit because she was fasting, Usman became aggressive and angry hitting her head with an iron rod, thus taking her life, reported Dawn Newspaper.

The police was quick to reach and arrested the suspect. The mother’s body was transferred to Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Teaching Hospital (ABSTH) for autopsy. A case has been registered against Usman under section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code on behalf of his brother Farman Ali.

This is not the first time that a woman has been killed over food rather last year in July, a woman from Layyah was killed over delay in cooking the meal while in 2020 a man from KP killed his wife for serving him ‘cold’ Sehri. A father also killed his daughter in 2016 for taking time to serve him food.
