March 23 parade cancelled, ceremony at Presidency

March 23 Parade cancelled

ISLAMABAD: The iconic March 23 parade will not be held this year, while a special Pakistan Day ceremony will be held at Aiwan-e-Sadr to mark the national occasion.

According to sources, it has been decided to keep the ceremony simple this year due to the holy month of Ramazan.

President Asif Ali Zardari will be the chief guest, while the Prime Minister and service chiefs will also attend.

Dry weather to persist, temperatures set to rise

The President will hoist the national flag, and the Pakistan Army contingent will present a salute on the occasion of March 23.

Preparations are underway at the President’s House lawns. Due to space constraints, a large number of guests, including the general public, will not be invited this time.

Additionally, a Pakistan Air Force flypast will take place over Aiwan-e-Sadr, and foreign diplomats along with other distinguished guests will be in attendance.
