Maryam Nawaz announces free plots

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz has announced a groundbreaking initiative to provide free three-marla plots to homeless citizens across the province.

In the first phase, a total of 1,892 plots have been allotted in 33 schemes across 22 districts. The initiative aims to ensure that every deserving family has a place to call home.

Under the scheme: Rawalpindi Division: 68 plots will be distributed across five schemes in four districts of Rawalpindi division, 288 plots will be allocated in four schemes across five districts of Faisalabad Division. 518 plots will be given in five schemes across three districts of the Lahore Region: 131 plots will be provided in seven schemes in the Bhakkar division.  270 plots will be distributed in nine schemes across five districts in Multan Region and 27 plots will be allocated in three schemes of the Bahawalpur region.

Plots will also be available in Hazro, Attock, Jhelum, Gujrat, and Mandi Bahauddin.

Expressing her vision, CM Maryam Nawaz stated, “It is my dream that every citizen of Punjab has their own house.”

 She emphasised that providing shelter to the underprivileged is not a favor but a duty of the government. “The poor and deserving people have a right to government resources,” she asserted, reaffirming her commitment to welfare-oriented policies.
