Maulana Kabeer Azad seeks to punish elements behind Jaranwala vandalism

ISLAMABAD: Prominent religious scholar and Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad has strongly condemned the vandalism and torching of churches and houses in Jaranwala and demanded to bring the perpetrators to book.
Addressing a press conference, Maulan Abdul Khabeer Azad emphasized the vital contribution of minorities in Pakistan’s quest for independence. He stated that the roles played by minorities during the struggle for Pakistan should not be underestimated and should be recognised with gratitude.
Maulana Azad reiterated the idea that Pakistan is a nation for everyone, regardless of their background and religious affiliations. He stressed the importance of unity and inclusivity among all citizens to ensure the country’s progress and development.
Addressing the Jaranwala incident, Maulana Azad expressed his strongest condemnation. He stated that such acts of violence and intolerance have no place in a society that adheres to the principles of peace and harmony.

In regard to individuals involved in criminal activities, Maulana Azad stressed that those found involved in vandalism should face severe penalties to deter similar actions in the future.
Maulana Azad warned against malicious intentions of those attempting to sow discord within the nation. He urged the public to remain vigilant against divisive agendas that aim to disrupt the harmony of the country.
He reaffirmed the resolve to thwart the conspiracies of elements working against the interests of the nation. Maulana Azad emphasized the importance of unity and collective effort to overcome challenges.

Speaking about the Jaranwala incident, Maulana Azad emphasised that the entire nation stands in solidarity with the Christian community. He condemned the violence and extended his support to the affected community members.
He stated that the murder of one individual is an attack on all of humanity. He stressed the universal importance of valuing human life and protecting it.
