ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has announced changes in the schedule of the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2025 following the recent flood situation in the country.
The decision was taken on the special directions of Federal Health Minister Mustafa Kamal. According to the Health Ministry, the minister instructed PMDC to hold consultations with
representatives of universities in all four provinces, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan before finalising the new date.
Earlier, the MDCAT exam was scheduled for October 5, 2025. However, due to the difficulties being faced by students in the flood-affected areas, the exam has now been rescheduled.
As per the revised schedule, the MDCAT will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2025.

Health Minister Mustafa Kamal said the government is committed to providing equal educational opportunities to every student in the country.
He added that the decision to reschedule the exam was taken purely in the interest of students. “We want to ensure that no student is deprived of the chance to appear in the test due to natural calamities,” the minister stated.
Heavy rains and subsequent flooding have affected large parts of Sindh, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan, leaving many students unable to continue preparations or access examination centres.
The government and concerned institutions have been directed to make all possible arrangements to facilitate students on the revised date.
The PMDC clarified that the syllabus and examination pattern will remain unchanged, and students should continue their preparation accordingly.
