Mercury remains high, as offices, markets reopen after Eid

WEB DESK: On Tuesday, the weather is likely to be hot and dry in most parts of the country while it will be extremely hot in the plains, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said. However, in the evening and night hours, there may be rain with strong winds and thundershowers at a few places in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and adjacent hilly areas.

Going region by region, Islamabad and its surrounding areas will get hot and dry weather, with mercury shooting up high during the day. Strong winds are also expected during this time.

Likewise in Punjab, the weather is expected to be hot and dry in most districts and extremely hot in the plains. Strong and dusty winds are expected in the plains districts in the afternoon.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa too will remain hot and dry, and extremely hot in the plains areas of the province. However, in the evening and night, it will be partly cloudy in the upper districts, and light rain may occur in Chitral, Dir and its surroundings.

Weather is likely to remain extremely hot and dry in most districts of Sindh, along with prediction of strong and dusty winds today.

Weather in Balochistan is also likely to remain extremely hot in most districts, while in plain areas it is likely to remain extremely hot. Dusty winds are expected for Balochistan too during this period.

Kashmir will get similar weather patterns during the day, but in the evening and night hours it will remain partly cloudy. A few places might also get light rain with strong winds and thundershowers.

Weather is likely to remain hot in Gilgit-Baltistan during the day, but the evening and night hours might bring partly cloudy skies with strong winds and thundershowers at a few places.
