Millat Express escapes accident

KARACHI: Millat Express, onbound to Lala Musa, escaped a major disaster when two of its bogies derailed near Kotri Junction in Jamshoro district in Sindh province on Wednesday.

According to details, two bogies of Millat Express, en route to Lala Musa from Karachi, derailed near Kotri Junction due to which rail traffic on the Up Track was suspended.

Several passengers suffered minor injuries due to the derailment of the train coaches from the track howver no loss of life was reported in the accident.

Railway officials said that Karachi Express, Green Line and Sukkur Express were stopped at different stations while the Hazara Express was stopped at Hyderabad Railway Station on the down track.

Later, the railway authorities restored the uptrack after around 4.5 hours and dispatched the train to Lahore.
