The minister stated that multiple steps were being taken for the revival of the railway system.

At least 30 people were killed and over 100 injured after the Hazara Express derailed near Nawabshah.

At least10 coaches of the Hazara Express derailed, officials said.

The Hazara Express was traveling from Karachi to Abbottabad and met with the accident near Sahrari Railway Station.

The incident site being far from the city has made difficult for the rescue teams to reach timely. According to officials, heavy machinery has been dispatched to the site but it would take 3 to 4 hours to clear the track.
