Minors, females not to be tried in military courts

ISLAMABAD: It has been decided not to prosecute women and persons under 18 years of age, involved in attacks on military installations on May 9, in military courts.

The cases of women and persons under 18 years of age involved in the attacks on government properties including military installations on May 9 will be tried in the courts, while the accused will be given the right to counsel during the hearing in the military courts, according to sources

The family of the accused will be allowed to visit one day in a week.

The case of Chairman PTI is being considered to be tried in the military court, while some ministers are of the opinion that the case of Chairman PTI Imran Khan should be held in civilian courts.
