Mobile application for BISE Lahore launched

BISE lahore

LAHORE: Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab, Mohsin Naqvi, on Monday has officially launched the mobile application for the Lahore Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE).

Speaking to the media post-launch, the CM applauded the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) for accomplishing months’ worth of work in just days.

Naqvi reminisced about his visit to the board office a fortnight ago, where students were standing in queues.

Now, with the newly launched BISE Lahore app, tasks like obtaining a No Objection Certificate (NOC), degree issuance, duplication, and other matters have seamlessly transitioned to the online sphere, he said.

Highlighting the broader impact, the CM mentioned that all other boards in Punjab are set to go online within a week.

He also revealed an added convenience, allowing individuals to either personally collect their degrees or opt for home delivery by paying courier charges.

Expressing concern over the current state of education, Naqvi acknowledged the need for substantial reforms.

He lamented the insufficient efforts during his tenure and expressed hope that the incoming government would address this critical issue.

Stressing the importance of quality education, Naqvi stated that a robust school system should instill such confidence that parents can entrust their children to government schools without hesitation.
