Modern scanning machines enhance airport security in Pakistan

LAHORE: In a stride towards bolstering airport security in Pakistan, state-of-the-art scanning machines gifted by the British government have been installed at prominent airports across the country.

The latest addition is a modern scanning machine placed at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore, capable of detecting explosive devices and explosives.

The inauguration of this cutting-edge scanning machine will be officiated by the British High Commissioner to Pakistan at Lahore Airport. Director Security at the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Shahid Qadir highlighted the collaborative effort between Pakistan and Britain in enhancing security measures.

This installation follows a similar endeavor in Karachi, where the British government contributed a state-of-the-art scanning machine. These advanced scanning systems are poised to revolutionize the screening process for passengers traveling to the United Kingdom. Luggage and belongings will now undergo thorough and modern scanning, ensuring an even higher level of safety and security at Pakistani airports.
