Monday weather: PMD predicts a rainy start to the week

WEB DESK: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted rain for some areas in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir. For Sindh and Balochistan, however, the weather is likely to remain dry on Monday.
Going region by region, PMD predicts that the federal capital and its surrounding areas will stay hot for the better part of the day, but will begin to get cloudy in the afternoon. As the day progresses, strong winds are also likely for Islamabad.
Punjab will also get a hot and dry morning, but the weather will get cloudy with possible rain in Murree, Galiyat and its surroundings, accompanied by strong winds and thundershowers. Daytime temperatures likely to be 2 to 4 degrees Celsius above normal in southern and central districts of the province.

Likewise, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad and its surroundings will be cloudy with rain accompanied by strong winds and thundershowers at a few places. Central districts of the province might remain dry today and welcome cloudy weather tomorrow or later today.
For Sindh, PMD says that the weather is likely to remain hot and dry in most districts of the province. Strong, dusty winds are expected in coastal districts in the afternoon, but the daytime temperatures will remain 3 to 5 degrees Celsius above normal.
Balochistan too will get dry weather in most districts, while southern districts will remain warmer during the day. Strong winds are expected in coastal districts of Balochistan too in the afternoon.
Kashmir’s weather will likely remain partly cloudy in the afternoon, with rain at a few places with strong winds and thundershowers, and Gilgit-Baltistan is predicted to remain partly cloudy.
