Mother, daughter barricaded alive in a wall over property dispute

HYDERABAD: The local police rescued a mother and daughter, who were buried alive in a solid wall over a property dispute in Hyderabad area of Liaqatpur

The police recovered the mother-daughter duo on Saturday a day after they were “buried alive” in their home by the woman’s nephews who are now on the run from police.

The accused got incensed after developing a dispute over property at a home located in Unit Number 5 of Liaqtapur area. the nephews confined their aunt identified as Masooma Tasleem wife of Abdul Haq, and her daughter Dua after locking them in a room and sealing the door with a sturdy wall.

The nephews had fled after locking the mother and daughter inside the house.

Local residents informed Police Assistance 15, leading to the arrival of the police from B Section. They broke down the wall and safely rescued the mother and daughter, transferring them to the hospital for medical attention.

When the police arrived in the area, the central door of the house was locked from the outside.

According to police, raids are being carried out for the arrest of the suspects involved in the incident.
