LAHORE: Several sections of the motorway, including M2 and M1, have been closed due to the upcoming PTI rally in Lahore.

The closures, announced by the motorway police, have disrupted traffic across major routes, causing inconvenience for commuters.

According to a motorway police spokesperson, traffic from Chakri on the M2 motorway has been completely halted. Similarly, traffic from Neela Dullah is being diverted to alternative routes to manage the flow and avoid congestion near the rally site.

The spokesperson added that M1 motorway, which connects major cities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, is also experiencing closures at multiple points.

Those traveling to Lahore from northern parts of the country have reported delays due to the blocked sections and diversions.

Long queues of vehicles have been spotted near Chakri and Neela Dullah, as motorists are forced to take alternative routes.
