Murree snow fall

ISLAMABAD: As Murree experiences intermittent rainfall, hailstorms, and the season’s first snowfall in 2024 on Monday, the district administration has issued a critical advisory for tourists.

Tourists planning to visit the scenic hill station, adjacent Khyber Pukhtunkhwa’s Galiyat region with Nathia Gali, are urged to prepare for a fluctuating Murree temperature today.

With temperatures plummeting to minus two degrees Celsius, the chill in the air intensified, setting the stage for a wintry spectacle.

The Meteorological Department has issued a warning, anticipating heavy snowfall in all upper regions, including Murree, over the next 36 to 72 hours.

To ensure preparedness, the district administration of Murree has completed all necessary arrangements to tackle the snowfall.

Thirteen facility centers have been established across Murree, manned by government personnel round the clock, as informed by the Deputy Commissioner of Murree.

As visitors flock to Murree to relish in the snow, they are advised to maintain the fitness of their vehicles and pack warm clothing and dry fruits for children. Furthermore, adherence to traffic regulations is emphasized for a safe and enjoyable experience.

In addition, the Deputy Commissioner of Murree cautioned about limited visibility caused by dense fog in the region, urging motorists to utilize fog lights for enhanced safety measures.
