Murree underpass inauguration: Traffic advisory issued

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Traffic Police has announced special traffic restrictions for today (Thursday) due to the inauguration ceremony of the Murree Underpass.

According to the traffic advisory, the road from Kashmir Chowk to Bhara Kahu will remain closed for all types of traffic from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM on Thursday.

Police officials have advised commuters heading towards Murree or Bhara Kahu to use alternate routes. Travelers can reach their destination via Rawal Dam Chowk, Park Road, Bani Gala, and Korang Road.

Clear skies in Islamabad, hailstorm unlikely

Traffic coming from Bhara Kahu towards Islamabad or Rawalpindi can use Korang Road, Bani Gala, Park Road, Rawal Dam Chowk, Faizabad, and Kashmir Chowk as alternate routes.

Chief Traffic Officer has requested that citizens allow an extra 20 minutes in their travel plans to avoid inconvenience and to strictly follow the instructions issued by the traffic police.

Police have assured that all available resources will be used to ensure smooth traffic flow during the inauguration event of Murree underpass.
