Mustafa Amir Case: Armaghan, Shiraz remand extended

Karachi: The Anti-Terrorism Court on Thursday extended the remand of prime suspects Armaghan Qureshi and Shiraz in the Mustafa Amir murder case.
The court has also ordered a physical examination of the two accused.
Earlier during the hearing, the prosecution requested for a 14-day extension in remand. The prosecutor’s lawyer told the court that Armaghan was not cooperating with the investigators and they needed more time.
However, the court extended the remand for five days and also allowed Armaghan’s parents to meet him.
Earlier before the hearing, Armaghan’s mother tried to speak to him, but the police present in the courtroom stopped her. They stated that, due to security concerns, senior officials had denied permission for any meeting with the accused.
SENIOR POLICE OFFICALS SUMMONED TO CM HOUSE
IG Sindh and Karachi Police Chief have been summoned to the Chief Minister house in the Mustafa Amir murder case.
Besides the IG and Karachi Police Chief, the DIG CIA, SSP AVCC, and SSP SIU have also been summoned to the Chief Minister House, where Police Chief Javed Alam Odho will brief officials on the Mustafa Amir murder case.
The briefing will cover investigation progress and key findings. Officials will also be informed about sensational revelations made by arrested suspects Armaghan and Sahar Hasan during interrogation.
According to police sources, discussions will also take place on the future course of action regarding the case.
Was Mustafa Amir really dealing with drugs?
Mustafa Amir, a Karachi resident, went missing on January 6, according to the police. His charred body was found in a car in Balochistan.
Armaghan Qureshi the prime suspect in the murder of Mustafa Amir has confessed to the police of murdering Amir and burning him.
Officials stated that the exact cause of Mustafa’s death will be determined after post-mortem and DNA reports.
