NADRA registers record 17.9 million births in 2023

ISLAMABAD: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) registered a record number of 17.9 million births, 1.5 million deaths, 1.6 million marriages and 0.180 million divorces in 2023, according to a statement issued by the authority on Wednesday.

The statement said that 2023 was a year of exemplary achievements for NADRA, as its staff worked tirelessly to document the important events in the lives of citizens across the country. It also credited the cooperation of local governments for facilitating the registration process.

NADRA urged the citizens to ensure timely entry of vital events in their lives, saying that it was making every possible effort to maintain a complete and accurate national database.
