Nationwide heatwave to persist with minor cloud cover in the north


The Pakistan Meteorological Department warned of extreme heatwave, with some areas exceeding 50 degree Celsius.

WEB DESK: On Thursday, the weather is expected to remain hot and dry in most parts of the country, said Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

In the capital city of Islamabad and the neighbouring areas, temperatures are likely to stay high with no signs of relief from the heat.

In Punjab, the majority of districts will also experience hot and dry conditions. Similar weather patterns are predicted for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, and Balochistan, where residents can expect to endure continued heat throughout the day.

Kashmir is forecasted to remain dry, although partly cloudy skies may offer some respite.

Meanwhile, in Gilgit-Baltistan, dry weather is expected, accompanied by partly cloudy conditions. Despite the cloud cover, no significant change in temperature is predicted for the region.
