LAHORE: In a strategic move poised to shape the upcoming general elections, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and the Senior Vice President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Maryam Nawaz, have officially entered the electoral fray, submitting their nomination papers for key constituencies in Lahore.

PML-N lawmaker Bilal Yaseen confirmed the submission of Nawaz Sharif’s nomination papers on Sunday, marking the veteran politician’s return to the electoral arena. Yaseen, expressing confidence in Sharif’s candidacy, declared, “Nawaz Sharif will win the election from NA 130 and become the Prime Minister,” highlighting the significance of the electoral battle in the Data Ki Nagri constituency.

Yaseen further revealed that Nawaz Sharif, a stalwart of Pakistani politics, is set to contest the general election from two seats in Lahore. The primary focus of Sharif’s campaign will be the hotly contested NA-130 constituency, where he is anticipated to face robust competition.
