Nawaz Sharif acquitted in NAB plot allotment case

LAHORE: An accountability court in Lahore has acquitted former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz supreme leader Nawaz Sharif in a plot allotment reference.

According to Nawaz Sharif’s lawyer Qazi Misbah, the National Accountability Bureau had filed the reference “on the basis of malice”.

He argued that Sharif did not have any role in plot allotments.

After hearing the arguments, accountability court Judge Rao Abdul Jabbar delivered the verdict and acquitted former Nawaz Sharif. The court said that all other accused in this case have also already been acquitted.
