New additional justices of IHC, BHC sworn in

ISLAMABAD: The swearing-in ceremony of two new additional judges of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) was held today. Newly appointed Azam Khan and Raja Inam Amin Minhas took oath as additional judges.

The nominations of District and Session Judge Mohammad Azam Khan and Advocate Supreme Court Raja Inam Ameen Minhas were finalised on Friday.

IHC Chief Justice Aamir Farooq administered oath to the new judges. Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani were present at the ceremony. Justice Babar Sattar and Justice Ijaz Ishaq also attended the ceremony, along with Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir, Justice Saman Riffat Imtiaz and Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri.

BHC JUDGES SWORN IN

Meanwhile in Quetta, three new judges of Balochistan High Court (BHC) were also sworn-in today. All three justices have been serving as Supreme Court advocates prior to the appointment at the BHC.

BHC Chief Justice Justice Hashim Kakar administered oath to the newly appointed judges. Justice Muhammad Asif, Justice Muhammad Ayub Khan Tareen and Najam-ud-Din Mengal are among the newly appointed judges.

After the appointment of these three new judges, the total number of judges in the BHC has increased to 14. Balochistan Chief Secretary, C&W Secretary, and Finance Secretary also participated in the oath-taking ceremony.
