Newly nominated chief justice Yahya meets CJP Isa, Justice Mansoor

ISLAMABAD: Newly nominated chief justice, Justice Yahya Afridi, met Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa on Wednesday morning, sources said. He also visited Justice Mansoor Ali Shah’s chamber.

Justice Mansoor was among the proposed nominations along with Justice Yahya and Justice Muneeb Akhtar.

According to sources, the meeting took place in the CJP Isa’s chamber. The chief justice congratulated Justice Yahya on his appointment as the new chief justice.

Sources also said that Justice Yahya held a second meeting with the Chief Justice after finishing hearings for the day.

Justice Yahya Afridi was also congratulated by his chamber staff.

Earlier, the official notification of Justice Yahya’s appointment was issued, which was warmly received by the bar councils across Pakistan.
