Thieves loot Nigheban ration bags

LAHORE: Dozens of ration bags, being distributed by the Punjab government, under the Ramazan Nigheban Relief package were looted by unknown culprits in the provincial capital.
The incident occurred in Lahore area of Chowhang, where the thieves managed to escape with 36 ration bags meant for the underprivileged.
The police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) on the application of Asghar Patwari.
Ramzan aid initiative rolled out across Punjab
According to the FIR some 12 unidentified persons snatched the Nigheban ration bags from the official team.
Each bag of ration includes essential items such as a 10 kg bag of flour, 2 kg of rice, sugar, edible oil, and chickpea flour (besan).
The police have started the search for the accused.
