Nighttime showers predicted for Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: More evening showers are predicted for Islamabad and its surrounding areas in the next 12 hours, while hot and humid weather is expected to persist in the rest of the country.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a chance of rain at isolated places during the morning and night in Islamabad and its surrounding areas.
Several areas of Rawalpindi and Islamabad received rain today, with 33 mm recorded in Golra, 26 mm in Chaklala, and 13 mm in Bokra.
Researchers blame human activity for Pakistan’s heavier rainfall
The Met Office stated that parts of Azad Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, several districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and upper Punjab may also experience rain with thunder in the next 24 hours.
Humidity in Peshawar was recorded at 60 per cent, according to the Meteorological Department.
Yesterday, Malam Jabba received 20 mm of rain, while Parachinar recorded 15 mm, the Met Office said.
Six cattle were killed after the roof of a house collapsed in Haripur, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) reported.
Heavy rain in Haripur and Waziristan caused one house to be completely destroyed and five others to be partially damaged, according to PDMA.
In Balochistan and Sindh, hot weather will prevail, while coastal areas are expected to remain partly cloudy.
In Pasrur, the rising water level in Nullah Dek has caused a flood-like situation, prompting the district administration to issue an alert.
