Nimra Bucha to star in BBC’s Murder Is Easy

SCOTLAND: Pakistani actress Nirma Bucha is all set to make her mark in the highly anticipated BBC thriller series “Murder Is Easy” based on the novel of renowned English detective novelist Agatha Christie .
Known for her unconventional choice of projects and Method acting, Bucha took to her Instagram account to share the exciting news with her fans. Posting a picture of the official announcement, she wrote, “Nobody better kill me,” teasing the suspense and intrigue that awaits viewers.
The Churails actor has already gained recognition for her awe-inspiring performances in global projects, including her portrayal of a nuanced character in Disney’s ‘Ms. Marvel’ (2022) and her eccentric role in the British comedy movie ‘Polite Society.’ Her talent and versatility have captivated audiences worldwide.
Directed by the British-Indian filmmaker Meenu Gaur, known for her work in the Pakistani movie Zinda Bhaag (2013) and the crime-thriller series Qatil Haseenaon Ke Naam, the series boasts an impressive ensemble cast. It features industry standout David Jonsson, known for his role in Industry and Rye Lane and Lord of the Rings Morfydd Clark alongside Penelope Wilton, Sinead Mathews, Tom Riley, Douglas Henshall, Mathew Baynton, Mark Bonnar, Tamzin Outhwaite, Jon Pointing, Phoebe Licorish, and the talented Nimra Bucha. Bucha will be portraying the character of Mrs. Humbleby from the original novel, adding her own unique touch to the role.

The plot of ‘Murder Is Easy’ revolves around Christie’s 1939 novel. Set in 1954 England, the story takes place on a train to London, where the characters soon discover that a killer is on the loose in the seemingly peaceful English village of Wychwood under Ashe. The series promises gripping suspense and thrilling twists, capturing the essence of Christie’s classic whodunit.
