No change in policy regarding Afghan nationals in Pakistan: FO

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Office spokesperson has said that the existing policy regarding Afghan nationals in Pakistan will remain intact until further orders.
Foreign office spokesperson Shafqat Khan, responding to a question during his weekly briefing regarding Afghan nationals, said no directives have been issued for a policy change at this time and the existing policy will remain in place.
The Foreign Office denied all allegations made by Afghanistan against Pakistan.
The spokesperson shared that the Pakistani ambassador represented the country at the US President Donald Trump oath-taking ceremony. He added that Pakistani ambassadors have historically attended such events on behalf of Pakistan.

Shafqat Ali Khan said the Pakistani embassy is in contact with Moroccan authorities regarding the migrants. He appreciated the extensive cooperation extended by Moroccan officials during the recent boat accident.
The spokesperson highlighted that boosting trade with African countries remains a key priority for Pakistan.
He also informed that the Pakistan-Azerbaijan ministerial commission meeting is underway.
Welcoming the ceasefire in Gaza, the spokesperson urged the international community to devise a plan for Gaza’s reconstruction.
He also called on the global community to fulfil its responsibilities in finding a lasting solution to the Palestine issue.
