QUETTA: The death toll from the Noshki oil tanker explosion rose to seven after another injured person succumbed to burns in Karachi on Saturday, rescue officials confirmed.

At least 60 people were injured on Monday when a fuel tanker exploded after catching fire in Noshki district.

The Balochistan government had shifted 24 critically injured patients to Karachi via a Pakistan Air Force aircraft on Tuesday for further treatment.

So far, seven of those injured have died in private hospitals in Karachi. One victim died en route during transfer, while two others passed away earlier at Patel Hospital in Gulshan-e-Iqbal.

The blast occurred when a truck’s oil tank caught fire in Noshki and exploded, triggering a massive blaze that engulfed nearby people and property.
