Oil tanker catches fire near Rawalpindi, driver succumbs to burns

RAWALPINDI: An oil tanker caught fire on Kahuta Road near Kak Pul in Rawalpindi. Rescue teams immediately reached the scene and are trying to put out the fire.
Rescue fire tenders and other emergency vehicles are busy in the operation, a Rescue Services spokesperson said on Sunday, adding that they are trying to control the fire.
In an unfortunate update, the driver of the oil tanker was burnt to death, and his companion was seriously injured, the rescue services spokesperson said. The driver has been identified as Amjad, and companion has been identified as Hasnain Raza.
